General rental terms

Last updated: 27 September 2026.

Scope

These terms govern the holiday rental of the villas offered by French Riviera Villas. They are supplemented by the rental contract for each stay, which prevails in the event of any conflict.

Booking

Published rates are indicative. A booking is only confirmed after written confirmation of availability, signature of the rental contract and payment of the deposit.

Stays normally run by the week, Saturday to Saturday. A minimum stay may apply depending on the season and the villa; it is stated before signature.

Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in euros, including taxes, excluding tourist tax and optional services. A fifty per cent deposit is due on signature of the contract, with the balance thirty days before arrival.

Security deposit

A security deposit is required before arrival. It is returned within fifteen days of departure, less any damage recorded at the check-out inventory.

Cancellation

Cancellation conditions specific to each villa are set out in the rental contract. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

Under Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date.

The stay

The number of guests may not exceed the capacity stated for the villa. Events and receptions require the owner's prior approval. Guests agree to follow the house rules provided on arrival.

Governing law and disputes

The contract is governed by French law. Any dispute will first be settled amicably where possible, including through the consumer mediator named in the legal notice. Failing that, the courts of [city] have jurisdiction.
