Villa Céleste

On the heights of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Villa Céleste spreads one thousand square metres of interior space over five levels, linked by a spiral staircase and a glass lift that climbs the façade. The house is suited to guests with reduced mobility: the lift serves every level. At the heart of the house, a twenty-five-metre atrium carries light from the roof down to the lounges.

Four en-suite bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, including a master suite with a private terrace and dressing room. The main lounge opens onto a terrace with a water wall; upstairs, the gallery lounge doubles as library and bar. A surround-sound cinema, a steam room and an outdoor fitness area complete the house.

Outside there are two pools: a rooftop infinity pool with barbecue and private sun deck, and a second pool with jacuzzi at the end of the landscaped gardens, beside a Balinese-style pool house and a dining pagoda. A private chef, butler and housekeeping are on hand throughout the stay, and continental breakfast is included. Nice airport is ten kilometres away, Monaco twelve.

Set between the bays of Villefranche and Beaulieu, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has long been one of the Riviera's most discreet addresses. Once a fishing village, the peninsula became a place of grand estates and gardens in the early 20th century, while keeping a remarkably green and residential character.

The coastline is best explored on foot. Around eight kilometres of coastal paths connect rocky coves, beaches and pine-framed viewpoints, while the village itself gathers around a small harbour lined with restaurants and terraces.
